Reviews

Karen Blood stains on sheets. Yellow stains on mattress cover. Bathroom sink stopped up with hair and mold. Tub dirty. Noisy from remodeling. I had to clean and change sheets! No apology from staff. Don't recommend.

Very relaxing place Nice place with a fabulous beach just across the street. The unit was dated, they are at the tail end of renovating the units, we saw the new units and they are very nice. Pool area was nice with many tables and chairs, and gas grills, jacuzzi. Beach towels can get exchanged daily, they have low pool chairs which you can take to the beach. The sunsets are beautiful and can be viewed from either the front balcony or beach. Would go back if I could get a renovated unit.

Great location & beautiful beach views Beautiful location right across from the beach. Our one bedroom 2nd floor unit had beautiful beach views from the balcony, living room, and bedroom. The unit had been recently renovated and other units were also being renovated. There are great restaurant choices nearby. We loved the Seahorse for brunch. The Camelot is not "posh." The building is older and fits in with the Pass-a-Grille area which has a vintage feel. We were surprised that upgraded unit didn't come with better in-room amenities (towels, soaps, etc.), but that didn't decrease the enjoyment of our stay. We enjoyed the pool and the beach and liked our location for activities and day trips into Tampa and Sarasota. Management staff were friendly and accommodating.

GREAT LOCATION BUT BAD BAD RED TIDE DEAD FISH BLOOMS We enjoyed the beautiful beach views / sunsets every night. The room was adequate except for the sleeper sofa which hurt our granddaughter's back the springs were so old. She slept on the sofa cushions most of the time. The salt water pool was nice but crowded at time. I enjoyed the sauna every day and the flag out front. Full kitchen and nice king bed in the bedroom with 2 closets. The beach is usually very nice (not too crowded and nice place for a beach walk), but huge dead fish blooms from red tide kept us from going for every day after Monday. We didn't get in the Gulf water once during our stay for the week - didn't want to step on mushy dead fish - it was bad enough seeing so much death on our beach walks. The sunsets (beach faces west) were beautiful - no rain during the week. We enjoyed going to downtown St Pete for dinner and walking. When we went the red tide effects had been cleaned up there for the most part.

Vacation Our family of four stayed here for only 3 days but we loved it. It's very cozy and directly across from the beach. It's also close to some nice casual restaurants and ice cream shops. Nearby, we were able to get bait at the Merry Pier and fish off the dock. Overall, it was a great experience.

Perfect beach location, wonderful amenities, no beach traffic! We purchased a 2-bedroom unit week at Camelot By the Sea and while we didn't get to use it last year because of Covid, this year was better than ever! The units have been freshened with new living room furniture and fresh paint, and new kitchens are in the works. (We found the existing kitchen more than adequate for our needs, plenty of supplies provided and everything working perfectly.) The beach is just a walk across the street and there is none of the typical beach traffic, being so close to the point of Pass-a-Grille. Great restaurants within walking distance, shells on the beach for miles, cold A/C and great cable/wifi, and the pool and hot tub are wonderful after a salty day outside. Office staff is welcoming and super helpful, we look forward to coming back soon. If you're looking for a classic Florida beach getaway, Camelot is the place for you!
